چکیده

The effective signal-to-noise and distortion ratio (SNDR) at the output of a nonlinear amplifier is defined through the decomposition of the nonlinear output into correlated output and uncorrelated distortion. The analysis is based on the orthogonalisation of the nonlinear behavioual model that allows the accurate estimation of the effective in-band (or co-channel) distortion and hence determination of SNDR. Fundamental issues regarding the evaluation of the effective in-band distortion and its effect on digitally modulated signals are discussed. Simulations of in-band distortion and SNDR of WCDMA signals are verified experimentally using feed-forward cancelation.

Optimization of signal-to-noise-plus-distortion ratio for dynamic-range-limited nonlinearities

Many components used in signal processing and communication applications, such as power amplifiers and analog-to-digital converters, are nonlinear and have a finite dynamic-range. The nonlinearity associated with these devices distorts the input, which can degrade the overall system performance. Signal-to-noise-plus-distortion ratio (SNDR) is a common metric to quantify the performance degradat...

Improved Channel Estimation for DVB-T2 Systems by Utilizing Side Information on OFDM Sparse Channel Estimation

The second generation of digital video broadcasting (DVB-T2) standard utilizes orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) system to reduce and to compensate the channel effects by utilizing its estimation. Since wireless channels are inherently sparse, it is possible to utilize sparse representation (SR) methods to estimate the channel. In addition to sparsity feature of the channel, the...

Performance Analysis of ZF Pre-Coder and Extended Joint Channel Estimation Method in Downlink CDMA with HPA

In the down link scenario of code division multiple access (CDMA) systems, multi user detectors (MUDs) such as linear de-correlating detector (LDDs) provide satisfactory symbol error rates (SERs) at the expense of much increased complexity, they require all active users’ spreading sequences, which is impractical from privacy point of view. To overcome this impracticality, a simple matched filte...
